A retrospect of Christian Moeller´s
"Kingdom Come Youth" and
"Underground Medicine" shows at
ART FOR HUMANS GALLERY

ART FOR HUMANS GALLERY CHINATOWN, Los Angeles is pleased to present "Underground Medicine" an exhibit of a new 228cm x 314cm acrylic painting on canvas executed by Berlin-based artist Christian Moeller on-site in the gallery. Additional paintings on canvas and ink on paper drawings by the artist will be on view or at hand. The exhibition is sponsored in part by the Goethe Institut LA and Ludwigshafen. Show dates: September 5-15. An artist's reception/expo closing will be held at AFHGC on Saturday, September 15 from 6-10PM, and will feature "a set of rain," a fifteen-minute performance by Villa Aurora resident artist/composer Sagardia.
"Underground Medicine" is the third an final phase of Moeller's AFHGC residency/exhibit cycle. The first phase, "Jenseits Jugend (translated by the artist as "Kingdom-Come Youth")," featured an array of drawings and black paintings and opened September 8, 2007. The second phase, "Sonnige Abbildungen der Wirklichkeit-Malen ist echt cool und man kommt in der Clique einfach besser an," consisted of private on-site painting by the artist at AFHGC in the time/space between the two public events. Photos of Phases 1 & 2 are currently on view at the AFH website.
